The Rotary International Area of Focus is Youth Service Month.
Our district participates in Early Act,Interact,Rotaract,Rotary Youth Leadership Awards(RYLA). Model of United Nations Assembly (MUNA) and Rotary Youth Exchange (long and short term).
Youth services recognizes the positive change implemented by the youth and young adults through leadership development activities, involvement in local community and international service projects that enrich and foster peace and culture understanding. What a concept Rotary has start at Grade 3 to teach the kids about giving back to their communities. Can you imagine what a world we would live in if we had been taught that in grade 3.
What a great way to educate on what Rotary does and groom potential Rotarians!
We have a great opportunity this Saturday May 6th at the District Assembly being held at the RBC convention Centre in Winnipeg. We start at 8:30 am with Priority #1 Plus Membership followed by DGE Peter Neufeldt Assembly introducing the R.I.theme for 2017/18 and training. Check it out at www.rotary5550.org

As we come into the last 2 months of the Rotary year I urge you to reflect on your reason for joining Rotary. Think about the difference you have made. If you are not sure if you are making a difference talk to your club president about what we can do differently to meet your needs. New members are very important but retaining members is the life blood of Rotary. Communication is the formula that keeps us all connected allowing us to do the work we do to truly change the world.
