Weyburn Rotarians describe themselves as a mature club, a singing club, welcoming and friendly, where members enjoy great fellowship and have fun. They are very giving of their time and donations - their strength is fundraising

Internationally, the club supports the Ripple Effect, ShelterBox, Polio Plus and Canadian Food Bank.

Fundraisers include a Golf Ball Drop event and the sale of Christmas Chocolate and Nut Trays.

Projects in the community include:
  • Adopt-a-Highway,
  • Rotary Music Festival,
  • MS Walk,
  • Meals on Wheels,
  • Family Place Festival of Trees (decorate & donate a tree),
  • Salvation Army Christmas Project (Adopt-a-Family),
  • Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign,
  • Rotary Choir, performances at the Weyburn & District Communithon and the Quota Carol Festival, Rotary Youth Exchange and
  • Rotary Youth Leadership programs.

The club supports many local organisations monetarily (e.g. Weyburn Music Festival, Weyburn Minor Hockey, Academic scholarships, SE Regional College Bursary, Weyburn Hospital Foundation, Caravan Society, Weyburn Group Home Society, Weyburn Legion, etc.). Provincially, the club supports STARS Air Ambulance.

During the meeting that took place at the Weyburn Legion hall, two Paul Harris +2 pins were presented to Bob and Brenda King.

A brief tour of Weyburn revealed several giant wheat sculptures throughout the town similar to the one featured on this newsletter.
