The Zone 24/32 Institute was held in Providence, Rhode Island, September 21st to 27th. The first three days were dedicated to training incoming district governors and other district leaders. The last three days were general conference style presentations of interest to most Rotarians. One of the last presentations was for Canadian representatives only and covered the recently announced grant to the Rotary Foundation (Canada) by the federal government.

Over five years TRF Canada will receive $6,000,000.00 for use in matching grants for Canadian Rotary clubs with international projects. The fact sheet handed out at the session has been e-mailed to all club presidents and has been discussed by the assistant governors. More information about this will be given at the grant qualification seminars later this fall.

Next September, the Zone 24/32 Institute will be held in Winnipeg with a strong peace component. Winnipeg was chosen primarily because of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the work District 5550 World Peace Partners is doing. This event will be host to Zone 24/32 representatives from Russia, Canada, USA, France, and Bermuda.
