ALL RIGHT!.....This is a 'shout-out', “It is only one month to the day to District 5550’s 2019 Conference, “Inspired by the Family of Rotary”. The dates are May 2nd to May 5th and the place is CANAD INN DESTINATION CENTRE, Polo Park, 1405 St Matthews Avenue in Winnipeg.
This month’s newsletter features a cornucopia of ideas, big and small, on projects and events from fifteen clubs across District 5550. Add those to the many fundraising ideas in the March newsletter, which by-the-way was the best-opened e-mail of this Rotary year, and you have an opportunity to make our 2019 Conference theme come alive. I hope you’re inspired by the ideas here. Ideas like Nipawin’s ‘Colour Run’ demonstrate just how much fun Rotarians can generate while raising dollars at the same time. With such events, the line between event, project and fundraising becomes very blurry, indeed.
Longer breaks have been created at the 2019 Conference, giving more time for fellowship, and making the conference the perfect place to discuss new fundraisers and projects for your own club with Rotarians from throughout our widespread district. It is your opportunity to be "Inspired by the Family of Rotary" and to “Be the Inspiration” yourself.Delve into the sixteen club stories in this issue. There are pictures, videos, a PowerPoint and descriptions within the Club stories which are arranged by Province. Each club has its own story page. Save this newsletter on your “smartphone” and bring it to Conference.
